When you hire a storage unit at Aycliffe Self Storage, you will be provided with a personal access code that allows you to enter the building at any time, day or night. Once inside, your individual container is secured with a padlock. You may provide your own lock or request one from us, ensuring only you can access your storage space.
No, there is no minimum or maximum rental period. You are only charged for the time you use your container, whether you need storage for a short period or for long- term use.
To hire a unit, you will need a valid form of photo identification and your deposit. Once these are provided, your storage setup can be completed instantly, and you can begin using your unit straight away.
We offer storage units ranging from 10 square foot through to 195 square foot. Smaller units are ideal for boxes, personal items and seasonal belongings. Medium units suit furniture or the contents of a flat, while larger units can accommodate the full contents of a house or business stock. If you are unsure which size is right for you, we are happy to discuss your requirements and recommend a suitable option.
Yes. Customers have 24-hour access to their storage unit, seven days a week. You will be given your own secure access code to enter the building whenever you need to visit.
The facility is protected by 24-hour security monitoring. Entry to the building is controlled through a coded access system, and each individual storage container is secured with its own padlock. This ensures that only authorised customers can access the building and only you can access your unit.
Yes. A large shutter door can be opened on request, allowing you to drive directly up to the storage area when loading or unloading your belongings. This makes moving heavier items or larger loads much easier.
Yes. Free parking is available for customers when visiting their storage unit.
Yes. All storage units are located inside a secure indoor facility, providing protection from weather exposure and added security.

Yes. The facility uses energy-efficient lighting internally and externally, ensuring the site is well lit and safe when accessing your unit, including during evening or early morning visits.
Yes. We operate fully insured Luton vans and can assist with removals if required. This can be arranged alongside your storage hire.
